REPORT ON INDEPENDENCE DAY
“Independence is not a gift we received once; it is a responsibility we renew
every day—with our actions, our choices, and our commitment to the nation.”
On 15 August 2025, Ralli International School didn’t just mark the 79th Independence Day — it
ignited it. The campus transformed into a living tapestry of saffron, white, and green, each wave
of the Tricolor catching the morning breeze like a promise renewed. The air pulsed with the
rhythm of drums, the soaring notes of patriotic songs, and the unshakable heartbeat of a nation
standing proud, united, and forward-looking.
The celebration began with a warm and gracious welcome by the comperes, setting the tone for
the morning. Soon, all eyes turned to the dignified flag hoisting ceremony, led by our Honorable
Chairman, Mr. Surinder Ralli. As the Tricolor ascended gracefully into the sky, the atmosphere
swelled with pride, and the heartfelt rendition of the National Anthem echoed across the campus.
On this solemn occasion, Honorable Chairman Sir shared the profound meaning of
Dhwajaarohan, reminding everyone that our land, once called Aryavrat and the Sone Ki Chidiya,
carries a legacy we must honor. He urged each one of us to take responsibility for safeguarding
our nation’s dignity and future. Drawing inspiration from environmentalist Sundarlal Bahuguna,
the pioneer of the Chipko Movement from Uttarakhand, he emphasized the urgent need for
environmental conservation. He reminded us that our identity is forever intertwined with the
Tiranga Jhanda—a symbol not just to be saluted, but to be protected, cherished, and upheld
through our actions.
The program began with vibrant introductions by Krish Rastogi, Kanishka Data, Aarohi Jain, and
Ananya Rawat. The melodious group song, “Anekta Mein Ekta – Hind Ki Visheshata,”
beautifully portrayed India’s strength in diversity. The performance reflected how, despite
different religions, ethnicities, and languages, we remain united by one identity—Indian. The
song celebrated this shared sense of belonging, underlining that our differences are not divisions,
but threads in the rich tapestry of Indian culture.
A spellbinding highlight was the classical dance, “Jaya Tu Janani,” a graceful presentation that
celebrated the soul of Indian heritage. The performance seamlessly incorporated national
symbols—the lotus symbolizing purity, the peacock reflecting grace, and the Ganga
representing life and eternity—creating a vivid tribute to our cultural roots and the nurturing
spirit of Bharat Mata.
This was followed by a Hindi speech by Pratyasha Biswal, who proudly highlighted India’s
remarkable progress in fields like science, technology, women empowerment, and milestones in
Indian literature. The English speech by Shivansh Singh and Paridhi Adhikari paid homage to
the sacrifices of our freedom fighters while emphasizing India’s global stature in various
domains. They reminded the audience that, “India is not just a country—it is a vision the
world admires.”
The highlight of the program was a powerful and thought-provoking play that began in a familiar
classroom setting. The scene unfolded with students discussing how today’s youth are
increasingly drawn to fictional heroes like the Avengers, often overlooking the real-life heroes
who shaped our nation. Amidst them sat a quiet, seemingly unnoticed “silent boy,” deeply
engrossed in a book about India’s true patriots. Though initially mocked and bullied for his
interests, his quiet passion soon sparked a transformation. Through his unwavering belief, he
inspired his classmates to rediscover the courage, sacrifice, and spirit of the freedom fighters
who fought for India’s independence.
As the narrative unfolded, the play transitioned into gripping enactments of pivotal moments in
India’s independence struggle. One of the most moving segments was the Dandi March, where
Mahatma Gandhi’s unwavering spirit and leadership took center stage. With calm determination,
Gandhiji walked barefoot with fellow satyagrahis to the Arabian Sea, where he symbolically
broke the salt law imposed by the British. The scene powerfully conveyed how non-violence
(Ahimsa) became a mighty weapon in India's fight for freedom. The depiction of the Dandi
March not only highlighted civil disobedience as a form of protest but also showcased how
Gandhiji’s message of peaceful resistance united a fragmented nation in collective defiance.
The play continued with stirring portrayals of Subhash Chandra Bose, Chandrashekhar Azad,
Bhagat Singh, and Lala Lajpat Rai, illustrating their bravery, sacrifice, and burning desire for an
independent India. The impactful sequence titled “Operation Sindoor” brought alive the
courage and unity of countless unsung heroes who laid down their lives for the motherland.
Throughout the play, Gandhiji’s timeless teachings reminded the audience that true victory is
achieved not through violence, but through dignity, discipline, and unity.
The program reached its grand finale with the electrifying performance, “Suno Gaur Se
Duniya Walo.” Filled with pulsating energy and patriotic fervor, the performance ignited a wave
of nationalism in the hearts of all present, celebrating the power of unity, courage, and the
enduring love for our country.
The day concluded with the solemn notes of the National Anthem, echoing the promise that
“Freedom is the echo of every sacrifice, the dream of every heart, and the duty of every
citizen.” As the Tricolor soared high against the clear blue sky, it carried an unspoken pledge—
to protect, honor, and cherish the liberty earned through the selfless struggles of our freedom
fighters
